• Conduct research and analysis for ACEEE’s transportation program • Work directly with local and state governments on transportation-sector transformation projects • Contribute to research, analysis, and outreach across transportation electrification, freight and passenger vehicles, land use and transportation policy, fuel efficiency standards, and multimodal transportation infrastructure • Advance cross-cutting strategies that improve transportation energy efficiency and equity • Assist with developing and delivering technical assistance to outside stakeholders • Manage project tasks and correspond with project team members • Collaborate with ACEEE teams and external partners on multi-sector projects • Participate in committee and working group meetings • Write blog posts and develop presentations
• Experience with transportation sustainability, multimodal transportation, and/or transportation electrification • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills • Ability to participate in and contribute to cross-disciplinary research and teams • Strong organizational and project coordination skills • Ability to balance multiple deadlines and contribute to complex, multi-partner projects • Excellent writing and oral presentation skills • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Experience working with quantitative and qualitative data and spreadsheets • Initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work independently • Passion for clean energy, environmental issues, and social justice • Ability to collect, analyze, and disseminate complex or large amounts of data and information • Professionalism, poise, and ability to work as part of a team • Ability to interact with a diverse array of people, including high-level stakeholders • Degree in transportation planning, public policy, engineering, economics, environmental studies, or a similar field • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or Master’s degree and one or more years of experience • Applicants must be located in the United States if working remotely
