📋 Description

• Define and execute the organization’s cloud software engineering roadmap • Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, code review, and development methodologies • Drive cloud-native application development and modernization initiatives • Partner with executive leadership, business leads, product owners, and IT business analysts to align technology and translate requirements into technical solutions • Build and maintain a high-performance engineering culture • Support computer system validation and assurance activities with IT CSV and business analyst teams • Lead, mentor, recruit, develop, and retain engineering teams and talent • Conduct performance evaluations, career development planning, and succession planning • Manage resource allocation, budgeting, vendor relationships, project prioritization, and resourcing • Oversee architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable cloud applications and platforms • Guide adoption of microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and API-driven architecture • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, security, compliance, governance, and performance • Lead legacy-system modernization and cloud migration efforts • Drive automation across CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment processes • Provide technical leadership across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, DevOps, QA, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, IT Security, and IT CSV teams • Monitor emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption • Establish engineering productivity, reliability, and operational excellence metrics and KPIs • Communicate technical strategy and project status to executive and non-technical stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field • 10 years of cloud software engineering experience • 4+ years leading cloud software development and related teams • Strong experience designing and building cloud-native applications • Experience with React, Node.js, Java, Python, Azure Development Toolkit, GitHub, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) development tools • Experience with microservices architecture • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices • Experience with RESTful APIs and distributed systems • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform or CloudFormation • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance frameworks • Experience leading Agile/Scrum software development teams • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills • Experience in staff development and engagement • Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications listed in the preferred qualifications
