📋 Description

• Serve as Acquisition.com's day-to-day, first-line legal resource and the General Counsel's primary force multiplier • Draft, review, and negotiate vendor contracts, MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, sponsorship and partnership agreements, and event and venue contracts • Manage a mixed docket of dozens of open matters across entities and business units, constantly reprioritizing • Own day-to-day privacy, data protection, and information security questions, including consent practices and vendor data terms • Support the General Counsel on investment documents, diligence, and litigation matters, including drafting, discovery, and outside counsel coordination • Review marketing, advertising, and sales materials for FTC Act Section 5 compliance, including testimonials, earnings claims, and required disclosures • Advise sales on outbound calling and texting compliance, including TCPA and state telemarketing rules • Improve the compliance program with marketing, sales, and technology teams • Direct the paralegal and legal operations specialist, including workload, priorities, and development • Own intake quality and maintain same-day acknowledgment standards with clear owners and timelines • Maintain and improve templates, playbooks, and AI-assisted workflows • Serve as standing legal contact for internal teams and flag risk and negotiation leverage to procurement and business owners • Review people operations forms, policies, and processes • Identify problems, own them, and drive them to resolution

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. and active bar membership in good standing • 3+ years of relevant experience, including in-house at a high-growth company, covering commercial contracts, compliance, corporate governance, and general business advising • Hands-on experience with FTC Act Section 5 and advertising compliance • Experience with GDPR, CCPA, and the TCPA strongly preferred • Experience running and improving legal operations, including intake workflows, contract lifecycle management, matter tracking, or legal technology • Experience directing paralegal or legal operations staff • Background supporting advisory, professional services, events, or tech businesses preferred • Investment or fund exposure is a plus • Uses AI and automation first, while knowing where human review is required • Ability to explain legal issues clearly to non-lawyers and build trust across sales, operations, marketing, and vendor-facing teams • Remote, USA location • Some light travel to Las Vegas may be required
