• Translate state-by-state strategy into cross-team initiatives with clear owners, timelines, and success measures • Manage Senior Directors’ and SVPs’ priorities and coordinate cross-functional state strategy meetings • Own tracking and reporting cadence for state-by-state goal progress • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools covering goal progress, relationship health, revenue trends, and execution gaps • Provide internal updates on state portfolio performance, risks, wins, and recommended pivots • Track revenue gaps and growth opportunities within existing state relationships • Maintain cross-functional plans and coordinate sales, product, and policy teams • Track state policy developments affecting ACT’s market position • Coordinate divisions without direct authority and lead working sessions to align priorities and resolve execution conflicts • Escalate work that conflicts with state strategy and address organizational or process gaps • Build state strategy resources, improve cross-functional alignment, identify growth opportunities, and establish leadership reporting cadence
• 7+ years of experience in strategy, program/project management, or cross-functional operations in a matrixed organization • Ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder work across teams without direct authority • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data and relationship intelligence into actionable strategy • Experience building and maintaining tracking systems, dashboards, or reporting tools for executive audiences • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate across teams with diplomacy and directness • Strategic thinking and ability to identify conflicting priorities and missed opportunities • Ability to build buy-in across divisions through influence without authority • Accountability orientation and follow-through • Cross-functional collaboration across sales, product, policy, and operations • Executive communication skills for decision-ready senior leadership summaries • Judgment regarding independent resolution and escalation • Bachelor's degree in education policy, public policy, economics, statistics, data science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship • Experience in K12 education policy, state government relations, or education sales environments is a plus • Experience in a chief of staff or similar role is a plus • Familiarity with state procurement cycles, education agency relationships, or statewide assessment markets is a plus • Background in revenue operations, sales strategy, or account-based planning is a plus • Experience in or alongside a revenue-generating organization is a plus • Completion of the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate is recommended • Finalists are subject to a criminal background check
