📋 Description

• Fulfill patient orders, ensuring documentation and delivery instructions are accurate • Train and educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and answer service or equipment inquiries • Inform new patients about rights and responsibilities, contacts for questions, and billing department procedures • Inform patients about patient satisfaction surveys • Discuss insurance coverage and arrange payment of patients’ financial responsibility • Process credit and debit card payments using standard electronic tools • Obtain patient or caregiver signatures for delivery tickets, assignment of benefits, care plans, and waivers of liability • Obtain required information and medical documentation for complete, accurate, timely referral processing • Obtain MD order signatures and original prescriptions • Assist with promotional rollouts and referral source profile information • Increase referral volume through promotion and cross-selling among business lines • Advise referral source staff regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance documentation and reimbursement guidelines • Assist sales team with orientations and in-services for referral sources • Suggest alternative equipment or services based on reimbursement limitations • Maintain knowledge of assigned Health Systems’ and AdaptHealth electronic medical records • Coordinate with departments to minimize delivery expenses and provide efficient customer service • Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials procedures • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Two (2) years’ work-related experience in health care, customer service, delivery personnel with sales component or entry level sales required • Prior work experience in the HME, Diabetic or Wound Supply is preferred • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license • Knowledge of services and products • Excellent verbal and written communication • Excellent customer service skills • Ability to work independently and with a team • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects • Possess mental alertness and ability to properly treat confidential information • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office • Company-conducted background check required • Company-conducted Motor Vehicle Record Check required for driving roles
