📋 Description

• Partner with business development leads to respond to requests for proposal, technical questionnaires, and client follow-up questions within established deadlines • Participate in technical discovery meetings for integrated physical security systems • Conduct site surveys and create customized layouts for access control, IP video surveillance, and intrusion systems • Build scopes of work, technical proposals, and pricing budgets for commercial or industrial clients • Collaborate with internal field engineers and project managers to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation • Develop solution architectures, narratives, conceptual drawings, device quantities, assumptions, exclusions, programming sheets, bills of materials, and order-of-magnitude budgets • Evaluate existing systems, client standards, and integration requirements to recommend practical, scalable, and supportable solutions • Prepare and review technical proposal content, scopes of work, fee estimates, schedules, and presentation materials • Coordinate with manufacturers, integrators, and technology partners to validate product fit, interoperability, lead times, and pricing • Work with delivery teams to confirm proposed solutions are accurate, buildable, and aligned with delivery capabilities • Maintain reusable proposal content, solution standards, budget tools, and lessons learned • Support a disciplined handoff to project delivery by documenting commitments, assumptions, risks, and client expectations

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in physical security engineering, systems integration, consulting, design, estimating, or technical pre-sales • Strong working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercom, networking, cabling, and system integration concepts • Experience conducting client discovery and translating requirements into solution concepts, scopes, budgets, and technical recommendations • Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings and understand construction documents and specifications • Strong presentation and consultative communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences • Commercial awareness and attention to detail when developing estimates, assumptions, exclusions, and commitments • Ability to balance client objectives, technical standards, cybersecurity, constructability, schedule, and cost • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, Revit, CRM platforms, or estimating tools is a plus • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits, shifting priorities, and deadlines • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a distributed team • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, security management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, preferred
