📋 Description

• Report to the Manager of Solutions Architecture • Help new and existing customers understand the value of InterPayments services and how to implement them • Craft and present the architecture of how InterPayments fits within a customer's payment stack • Make the commercial case alongside sales and partnership teams • Map customer transaction flows from checkout through authorization, capture, settlement, and reconciliation • Determine the insertion point for surcharge calculation, disclosure, and reporting • Produce current system and sequence diagrams documenting system boundaries, call order, data ownership, and integration points • Guide customer and partner technical teams in producing documentation and create reference architectures when patterns repeat • Write prescriptive integration specifications covering endpoints, call order, data, implementation changes, tradeoffs, and reasoning • Surface product gaps with technically actionable cases for Product • Lead architecture reviews and integration working sessions with customer developers, architects, and gateway or platform vendors • Hand documented designs to Implementations and remain accountable through go-live

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing payments role • At least 3 years personally owning the technical design of enterprise payment integrations end to end • Fluency in the payment transaction lifecycle: authorization, capture (including partial and delayed), void, refund, settlement, and reconciliation into accounting systems/ERPs • Direct experience at, or integrating deeply with, a payment gateway, acquirer, or payment orchestration platform • Ability to read and reason about API documentation, request/response payloads, and transaction logs independently • Enough scripting ability to prototype an API call or parse a log file • Ability to analyze customer workflows and API calls and determine outcomes • Proven ability to produce professional architecture and sequence diagrams • Experience presenting an integration design to a non-technical executive audience and obtaining a decision • Experience with ERPs, Accounting Systems of Record, Accounts Receivable Automation platforms, and vertical SaaS platforms (nice to have) • Experience working with card present payment solutions (nice to have) • Experience with enterprise companies in specified verticals (nice to have)
