• Provide day-to-day leadership for Government Travel Consultants, Team Leads, and/or Associate Managers • Perform travel consultant duties as needed, including assisting travelers and booking itineraries • Champion proper use of ADTRAV tools and monitor agent execution • Set team goals and objectives and provide guidance • Review transaction rates, errors, write-offs, itineraries, reservations, and travel authorizations • Coach and train agents on traveler service, company policies, and procedures • Maintain accurate and updated agent job aids • Monitor call volume and agent availability • Serve as main client contact and promptly research, address, and resolve client concerns • Research agent and client issues and provide solutions to client/account management teams • Monitor KPIs and SLAs, including call and email volume, turnover, transaction rates, traveler satisfaction, overdue tasks, and agent errors • Identify process and workflow efficiencies and recommend improvements • Create, adjust, and monitor department reporting • Process timecards and time off for payroll • Develop, mentor, and lead employees • Conduct weekly individual and team meetings • Conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary documentation • Participate in recruiting by interviewing and selecting new agents • Use GDS, online booking tools, ADTRAV products, and internal applications • Participate in ongoing industry training • Maintain effective relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients • Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned
• High school diploma or equivalent required • At least 5 years of government travel consultant/travel agent experience, preferably in a call center environment • 2+ years’ experience managing a team • Strong knowledge of Sabre GDS required • Knowledge of Amadeus a plus • Strong proficiency in Fly America, Open Skies and federal travel regulations • Experience booking international travel with geographical and rate structures • Strong computer and typing skills, including navigating quickly between programs, using shortcut keys, multiple applications and monitors • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) • Leadership, organizational, analytical, decision-making, time-management, communication, and multitasking abilities • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work remotely and meet company home-office requirements • Availability Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm CT, plus after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Able to successfully pass credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background checks • U.S. citizenship required by government contract • Able to obtain required security clearance
