📋 Description

• Support proposal development by creating deliverable lists, estimating engineering hours, and providing mechanical engineering input • Serve as lead mechanical engineer on medium to large projects • Develop project deliverables, manage junior mechanical engineering staff, and coordinate with other disciplines • Produce P&IDs, equipment location plans, piping plans, piping isometrics, piping material specifications, mechanical equipment lists, piping line lists, specialty items lists, and construction scopes of work • Coordinate design work, scope changes, engineering budgets, and schedule constraints with project management and other disciplines • Perform and check engineering calculations, including equipment sizing, hydraulic analysis, and pipe stress analysis • Support equipment procurement through specifications, data sheets, quotations, technical bid tabulations, and vendor data review • Conduct occasional site visits for proposal development, project walkthroughs, field data acquisition, design verification, and construction support • Assist with project model and system layout development • Assist the Chief Mechanical Engineer with workload distribution and manpower loading plans • Provide feedback, mentorship, and leadership to developing engineers

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Professional Engineer (PE) License • Understanding of design, industrial process and energy projects • Experience in industrial and/or energy-related fields • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) • 9+ years of experience in industrial and/or energy-related fields (preferred) • Familiarity with industry codes and standards, including API, ASME, PIP, ANSI, and ASTM (preferred) • Experience with Pipe-Flo, Applied Flow Technology Fathom, and CAESAR II (preferred) • Occasional travel for site visits • Relocation is not available
