📋 Description

• Manage delivery of all Heart of Georgia Altamaha TIA 2 (2023–2032) transportation projects • Lead weekly coordination meetings with GDOT, consultants, and project stakeholders • Monitor project schedules, milestones, budgets, and deliverables • Track GDOT-let design and construction projects and identify risks or schedule impacts • Coordinate with local governments on locally let transportation projects • Develop resurfacing bid packages for GDOT-let projects • Review and approve local-government resurfacing bid packages • Review and approve consultant and local-government invoices • Assist with program reporting, budget tracking, and project documentation • Serve as primary liaison among GDOT, local governments, consultants, and stakeholders • Facilitate communication and resolve project issues • Support transportation improvement projects throughout the region • Manage moderately complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, agencies, and regional coordination • Oversee design, construction, maintenance, and resurfacing activities • Manage project delivery from initiation through closeout • Provide guidance and coordination to technical staff, consultants, and project support personnel • Work independently on day-to-day project management activities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Transportation, or a related field, plus 4 years of roadway construction, transportation project management, maintenance, or related experience; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment • Experience coordinating with government agencies, consultants, contractors, and local stakeholders • Organizational, communication, and project management skills • Preferred: GDOT roadway construction, maintenance, or transportation program management experience • Preferred: Experience managing transportation improvement or capital programs • Preferred: Knowledge of GDOT project development and delivery processes • Preferred: Experience with pavement condition evaluation and pavement management programs • Preferred: Experience developing, reviewing, and administering resurfacing bid packages • Preferred: Familiarity with transportation funding programs, including TIA projects • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus • Must be based in Georgia; relocation is not an option • Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future
