AiGent is a company that provides a software platform to monitor and manage onsite backup generators, connecting them to electricity markets. It offers real-time visibility, automated control, load cycling and reporting to ensure generators are maintained, monetize underused assets, reduce energy costs, and support business continuity for commercial and institutional customers.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the Product and Engineering functions • Spend time talking to customers, shaping the roadmap, and driving execution • Own the product roadmap end-to-end from customer discovery through prioritization, specification, and delivery • Conduct regular customer interviews with Sales and Energy Markets • Maintain a structured, transparent roadmap aligned with leadership • Demo products to prospects and customers alongside Sales • Lead and grow a team of engineers and product managers • Establish engineering cadence through sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, on-time delivery, and accountability • Own scalable, secure technology architecture capable of 24/7 mission-critical operation • Make build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions and manage outsourcing relationships • Own platform unit economics, including hardware BOM and cloud infrastructure costs • Maintain tight delivery timelines and identify blockers and risks early • Report regularly to the board and leadership on roadmap, milestones, and team performance • Set standards for how the team uses AI tools in a mission-critical dispatch platform

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years as VP of Product, VP of Engineering, CTO, or in senior technology leadership at a high-growth company • Real product management background owning roadmaps, running customer discovery, and making prioritization decisions under pressure • Track record of shipping on time and creating operational structure in fast-moving environments • Strong system architecture instincts and ability to build scalable platforms • Confidence presenting and demoing externally, translating technical capability into business value • Exceptional communication skills for board presentations, customer interviews, and engineering feedback • Comfort in a fast-paced, remote, early-stage environment where self-initiative is essential • Deep passion for technology and energy • Preferred: personally use AI tooling in daily work and have opinions about its limitations and applications • Preferred: experience in distributed energy, electricity markets, grid operations, or adjacent industries • Preferred: familiarity with distributed generation assets, backup power systems, or DER platforms • Preferred: experience with hardware/software co-development and associated unit economics • Preferred: undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
