📋 Description

• Support Ryder’s Continuous Improvement culture across the Business Unit/Vertical • Promote and facilitate continuous improvement methods across new and existing operations • Manage continuous improvement resources across multiple operations • Drive data-driven continuous improvement, engineering, and automation efforts to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth • Supervise continuous improvement engineering and quality professionals • Lead hiring, promotion, coaching, development, and performance management decisions • Manage multiple complex Supply Chain projects • Interact with senior management and customers • Develop and execute strategy, scorecards, and KPI action plans • Assess critical site and business needs with operational leadership • Develop and execute continuous improvement plans at Ryder sites • Provide data and action reports measuring progress against business objectives • Train, coach, and mentor employees, teams, and managers on Ryder Business System concepts and tools • Coach business owners in engineering, data analysis, and Lean methods • Support start-ups, retrofits, and expansions, including pricing inputs, go-live, and steady-state certifications • Apply engineering methods, data analysis, Lean tools, and quality standards • Use slotting, labor standards, layouts, flow optimization, data profiling, analytics, automation, and resource modeling to improve distribution and transportation operations • Facilitate and execute Value Stream Maps and Kaizen Events, including A3 charters, pre-work, results delivery, and sustainment follow-up • Identify process gaps and lead the CI team in implementing improvements • Track and report transformational activities and project value across customer accounts • Assess, develop, implement, and continuously improve Lean processes across accounts • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the QMS • Implement and monitor a standardized corrective action system • Support regulatory compliance and certification requirements • Oversee Quality Assurance for start-ups and expansions • Oversee internal auditing for regulatory compliance and certification • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management • Nine (9) years or more in the Distribution, Warehousing and/or Manufacturing, Transportation, Supply Chain Logistics industry required • Lean Six Sigma required • Expert Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio • Intermediate data visualization and database programming skills, including PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, and DAX preferred • Advanced expertise in Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems, Management Accountability Systems, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and 5S/Workplace Organization required • Expert understanding and experience in engineering and data analysis functions, including slotting, utilization, labor planning, layouts, and metrics required • Expert knowledge of warehouse design tools such as AutoCAD, Slot3D, MOST, Manhattan Scale, and labor management systems preferred • Knowledge of warehouse management operations, data analytics, industrial engineering, warehouse types, warehouse layout/design, and Lean methods • Expert knowledge of material handling solutions and automation, including PIT applications, racking, storage solutions, packaging equipment, conveyor and sortation equipment, and AS/RS preferred • Knowledge of Dedicated Services and Managed Transportation Networks • Knowledge of dry van, temperature control, flat bed, and specialized transportation equipment • Expert knowledge of transportation design, network design, transportation management, and mapping tools, including JDA, Appian, Llamasoft, OTM, and Tableau preferred • Knowledge of HRM systems such as Workday and associated HR processes • Knowledge of team member hiring and onboarding • Intermediate knowledge of goal setting and performance management/resolution preferred • cPMP, ISO/QMS, and APICS and/or Supply Chain Logistics Certification preferred • Effective interpersonal skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to build professional relationships across all organizational levels • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks • Strong organization and time management skills • Team development and performance management skills • System and change implementation skills • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional and complex continuous improvement projects
