📋 Description

• Develop and implement new business plans and strategies with the Chief Program Officer and Chief Growth Officer • Identify business development opportunities and build a robust HI Program business pipeline • Support Program Office financial and business development goals • Lead execution and management of the HI Program’s projects, people, and business pursuits • Serve as subject matter expert in health economics, healthcare delivery and payment reform, Medicare/Medicaid policy, data analytics, and healthcare quality measurement • Provide strategic leadership in designing, implementing, and evaluating healthcare delivery and payment models using quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods approaches • Contribute to operational plans and annual budgets; implement HI Program budgets and plans • Support staff engagement, development, and client satisfaction goals • Lead staffing, workforce planning, professional development, and strategies to attract and retain a high-performing team • Represent AIR with clients, partners, staff, and stakeholders; build relationships with teaming partners, subcontractors, and consultants • Develop trusted-advisor relationships with client organizations and CMS personnel; anticipate client needs and surface insights and solutions • Work with Program Office leadership to develop a mission- and values-consistent culture • Enhance AIR’s external reputation with the Communications and Public Affairs Office • Develop the program’s vision and strategic direction and participate in the Program Office Leadership Team

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in Health Economics, Health Services Research, or a related field • Minimum 20 years of overall experience designing, implementing, and evaluating health care delivery and payment programs and policies • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role • Subject matter expertise in health economics and implementation and evaluation of healthcare delivery and payment models, including CMMI models • Proven track record leading proposals, winning contract work, and managing and leading teams • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of health economists, data scientists, quantitative researchers, and qualitative researchers on large-scale federal health projects • Experience designing and successfully leading multiple complex, innovative healthcare payment and delivery model projects • Professional services industry knowledge with business development experience in federal and/or state government contracting and/or foundations • Proven program leadership and high-level management experience with a documented record of delivering results • Excellent planning, analytic, and process-oriented skills and disciplined program management • Commitment to the institution’s mission and financial viability • Experience developing and implementing strategic direction and assessing progress against defined objectives • Ability to develop rapport with and lead internal staff and external subcontractor and consultant teams • Experience integrating teams and leading through transition • Commitment to staff growth and creating leadership opportunities • Flexibility and ability to manage change and adapt to changing circumstances and needs • Exceptional communication skills with internal and external audiences • Established thought-leader reputation through publications, presentations, advisory roles, or other contributions to healthcare policy and research • Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the U.S.; employment-based visa sponsorship is unavailable • May need to meet certain residency requirements depending on project work • Must adhere to child safeguarding standards and undergo reference and background checks
