📋 Description

• Lead policy development for host and guest quality, including Ground Rules and quality standards for stays • Draft clear and scalable policy frameworks that keep pace with product innovation • Collaborate with Product, Supply, Community Support, Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders • Guide policy operationalization efforts with cross-functional partners • Support company quality initiatives with risk mitigation guidance and policy deliverables • Use data, research, and community insights to evaluate policies and identify improvement opportunities • Drive policy revisions before issues escalate • Define quality standards and enforcement systems for Airbnb’s marketplace • Enable business and product teams to move quickly with scalable policy frameworks

🎯 Requirements

• 10-12+ years of experience in a Policy or Trust and Safety role • Prior leadership on quality, standards, or community policy, with demonstrated experience defining and enforcing a quality bar at scale • Experience with review, rating, or reputation systems, and the fairness and integrity questions they raise • Experience designing policies for consumer two-sided marketplaces • Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking, research, and analysis • Strong attention to detail • Exceptional writing and communication skills • Thoughtful business judgment and strategic thinking • Ability to work well under pressure • Proven ability to partner with and enable business teams, translating policy requirements into practical solutions that support business objectives • Experience working in a matrix and driving solutions to complex problems through cross-functional collaboration • Fluency in data analysis and data-driven decision-making • Ability to explain and simplify complex information to others • Adaptability to cultural differences and nuances • Commitment to ethics, integrity, diversity, and belonging • Must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
