⢠Serve as senior compensation advisor to Technology leadership across Engineering, Infrastructure, ML/AI, and Data Science ⢠Own contested offers, retention actions, annual equity awards, and leveling exceptions ⢠Advise Talent Directors and their teams; present recommendations to senior leadership and executives across Talent, Finance, and Legal ⢠Own market positioning and benchmarking frameworks for technical talent ⢠Evaluate roles based on AI expertise, research impact, and scarce skills ⢠Design and execute complex global compensation programs with accountability for cost, budget, and ROI ⢠Shape pay equity, job architecture and leveling, pay transparency, and workforce planning programs ⢠Construct financial models for long-term compensation strategy and executive and board-level planning ⢠Partner with regional Total Rewards Partners across EMEA, APAC, and India ⢠Lead Technology compensation cycle strategy from budget modeling through manager enablement and executive rollups ⢠Cultivate external networks across survey providers, consultancies, and peer companies ⢠Build compensation models, tools, frameworks, AI-powered benchmarking, offer generation, and workflow automation ⢠Partner on dashboards delivering market data and offer guidance to recruiters, hiring managers, and Talent Directors ⢠Mentor compensation partners and analysts and create enablement materials
⢠12+ years of compensation or analytics experience ⢠Ideally experience supporting the technical side of a high-growth technology company in a fast-paced, global environment ⢠Familiarity with the AI/ML talent market ⢠Proven experience as the primary compensation advisor to executive or C-level technical leaders ⢠Experience owning high-stakes compensation decisions ⢠Ability to advise Talent Directors, recruiters, and senior business leaders ⢠Experience designing and strategizing complex, global compensation programs ⢠Financial accountability for program cost and budget ⢠Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments ⢠Breadth across base pay structure design, equity and incentive design, job architecture and leveling, and pay equity ⢠Expert knowledge of third-party survey methodologies, including Radford, Mercer, and WTW ⢠Ability to define benchmarking methodology and build and validate pay structures across geographies and functions ⢠Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills ⢠Working proficiency in SQL, Python, or R ⢠Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Tableau, or comparable BI and compensation platforms ⢠Active use of AI tools and technologies ⢠Strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills ⢠Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or Data Science, or equivalent experience ⢠Must be based in San Francisco, California
