📋 Description

• Use AI tools like Claude Code as the primary development environment for generating, maintaining, and refining automated tests • Build and maintain automated coverage across E2E user flows and REST APIs • Contribute to the E2E automation framework • Collaborate with engineers and product to plan test cases and coverage for new features and user stories • Troubleshoot failures, investigate logs, and drive root cause analysis on bugs found in testing or production • Become a subject matter expert in the product domain, including business rules, user workflows, and edge cases • Champion testability, meaningful coverage, and quality standards early in development • Stay current on AI capabilities in testing and quality and share effective approaches with the team • Participate in team meetings and maintain a strong presence across remote communication channels

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code) • Strong instincts for breaking web-based software and judgment about automation versus manual validation • Browser automation experience with Playwright or other modern test frameworks • Experience testing REST-based web applications, front end and back end • Experience with API testing tools such as Swagger UI • Working proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript • Working knowledge of Git and source control workflows • Ability to write and execute SQL queries • Experience troubleshooting test failures using stack traces and logs and reproducing bugs • Strong communication skills with a pragmatic and proactive attitude • 2–4 years of Quality Engineering experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience • Familiarity with CI pipelines is a nice-to-have • Compliance with Allocate’s Code of Ethics
