📋 Description

• Set the strategy for Apptopia’s fundamental investor business and own its roadmap and research agenda • Determine target sectors, product priorities, data requirements, and what not to build • Define problems, users, success criteria, and priority order for the team • Set the research agenda with data science, including signals, questions, and deliverables • Establish and apply validation standards such as growth-on-growth fit, out-of-sample testing, lead time before earnings, and performance against consensus • Identify sectors where mobile usage is important to investors and start from buy-side questions • Sponsor new data points including transaction and subscription metrics, payer identification, demographic cohorts, and engagement cohorts • Decide what to build from the panel versus what to license based on investment impact • Partner with data science, engineering, Sales, CS, Marketing, Research, and Partnerships • Engage regularly with customers through analyst calls, win/loss reviews, and churn reviews • Convert customer feedback into roadmap decisions • Measure strategy impact and report performance to the executive team and board • Report directly to the Chief Product Officer

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning a product line or business rather than a feature set • Experience setting direction that a team executes • Fluency with how a fundamental investor works: how a model is built, what a reported KPI is, why consensus matters, and what happens in the weeks before a print • Experience with alternative data, market data, or another data product sold into financial services, ideally including both an application and a raw feed or API • Proven cross-functional influence across research, engineering, sales, and marketing • Quantitative comfort: ability to work in SQL and notebooks, read a regression, and distinguish predictive signals from correlation • Judgment about data honesty and ability to determine when data is sufficiently reliable to claim • Experience turning complex data into products a non-expert can use, including AI and agent-driven surfaces • Experience using customer and usage data to understand behavior and improve prioritization • Ability to reach objectively good negotiation results efficiently while maintaining relationships • Creative and analytical thinking, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail • Apptopia is not able to provide visa sponsorship at this time
