📋 Description

• Inspect properties damaged by wind, hail, water, lightning, fire, and other perils • Drive to properties and conduct field inspections • Evaluate policies and endorsements to determine coverage • Prepare estimates using Xactimate • Settle claims on site with customers • Handle claims remotely through ClaimsX Video Collaboration when travel is not possible or weather prevents on-site inspections • Investigate property claims through detailed damage reviews and policy interpretation • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Document claim activity accurately and timely in the claims system • Work a 10-day-on, 4-day-off schedule with 12-hour workdays throughout the year

🎯 Requirements

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel • Willingness to travel 90% of the time anywhere in the United States, including overnight travel • Availability to work weekends and holidays based on the claims schedule • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access up to a 6/12 pitch on a 1- or 2-story roof • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle claims countrywide • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/50 MB up when working remotely • Must be at least 21 to rent a vehicle, per Allstate policy • Strong critical thinking and technical skills preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred • Strong organization skills and attention to detail preferred • Previous outside adjuster experience highly desired • Proficiency using Xactimate or other relevant estimating software preferred • Ability to obtain required adjuster and/or appraiser license(s) within 60 days of hire, where applicable • Active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment • Background investigation required • Not available to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico • Allstate generally does not sponsor employment-based visas for this position
