📋 Description

• Inspect properties damaged by wind, hail, water, lightning, fire, and other perils • Drive to properties and conduct damage inspections • Evaluate policies and endorsements to determine coverage • Prepare estimates in the Xactimate program • Settle claims on site with customers • Handle claims remotely through the ClaimsX Video Collaboration platform when travel or weather prevents on-site inspections • Investigate property claims through detailed damage reviews and policy interpretation • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat, respecting communication preferences • Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain clear, timely, and accurate claim documentation in the claims system

🎯 Requirements

• Valid driver's license • Willingness to travel 90% of the time, including overnight travel, anywhere in the United States • Ability to work weekends and holidays based on the claims schedule • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder • Ability to access up to a 6/12 pitch on a one- or two-story roof • Must be at least 21 to rent a vehicle under Allstate policy • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle claims countrywide • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/50 MB up when working remotely • Position unavailable to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico • Ability to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required by the office/area • Active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment • Strong critical thinking and technical skills preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills preferred • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail preferred • Previous outside adjuster experience highly desired • Proficiency in Xactimate or other relevant estimating software preferred • Must submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
