• Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site inspections • Investigate property claim coverage • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently • Handle virtual claims countrywide using Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, and other platforms • Focus on water-loss claims • Provide compassionate, clear, and customer-focused claims service • Perform detailed damage reviews and interpret policies to determine coverage • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat • Tailor communication to customer preferences and provide claim-progress updates • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims • Execute policies according to policy agreements • Maintain timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system
• Reside in Anne Arundel County, MD or surrounding area • 4–5 years' previous experience as an outside adjuster highly desired • Experience handling claims with multiple trades and over $100,000 in losses • Proficiency using Xactimate and other relevant estimating software preferred • Strong critical thinking and technical skills to assess damages accurately • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide • Detail-oriented and organized • Residency within the posted location is mandatory • Not available to California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico residents • Willingness and ability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with up to a 6/12 pitch • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel • Approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX required • Ability to obtain applicable adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if required • Active insurance license holders must terminate existing appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment • Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when instructed • Background investigation required • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas • Dedicated private home workspace and appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
