📋 Description

• Establish the enterprise Infrastructure as Code strategy, standards, governance, and adoption roadmap. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure automation solutions across omni-hosted platforms. • Build reusable modules, templates, blueprints, and self-service automation capabilities. • Develop automation using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Puppet, Rundeck, Python, or related technologies. • Apply AI-assisted engineering and Specification-Driven Design practices. • Apply responsible AI practices, security controls, governance, and risk management within enterprise automation platforms. • Design and develop APIs and integrations for infrastructure orchestration, provisioning, and platform services. • Drive CI/CD, security, compliance, testing, and deployment automation for infrastructure delivery. • Partner with platform product teams to accelerate IaC adoption and productize infrastructure capabilities. • Create documentation, reference architectures, training materials, and enablement programs. • Leverage knowledge across compute, networking, storage, security, identity, cloud, and infrastructure services to deliver platform products and improve operational resilience. • Collaborate with platform, server, security, networking, and application teams to transform manual infrastructure delivery into an automated, software-defined operating model. • No supervisory duties are required.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code principles, patterns, and engineering practices. • Experience with continuous collaborative pair programming to solve technical challenges. • Strong experience building infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu, Env0, Puppet, or equivalent platforms. • Demonstrated success establishing and scaling enterprise infrastructure automation initiatives. • Strong software engineering mindset emphasizing maintainability, testing, version control, and automation. • Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments. • Knowledge of Git-based development workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and code review practices. • Experience building reusable modules, templates, and shared automation services. • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, identity management, and platform services. • Proven ability to influence engineering teams and drive adoption of technical standards. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution. • Experience integrating LLMs, MCPs, AI agents, Copilot technologies, or workflow automation platforms into infrastructure engineering solutions is nice to have. • Experience building AI-native infrastructure platforms is nice to have. • Experience enabling self-service capabilities through platform engineering or developer platforms is nice to have. • 5 or more years of experience is listed as preferred. • Candidates offered the position must submit to a background investigation. • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position. • When working from home, a dedicated, private workspace, appropriate desk and seating, and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload are required.
