📋 Description

• Lead the Client Legal Services Legal Operations project and portfolio management function • Organize, prioritize, govern, and deliver operational and technology initiatives • Manage employees and/or frontline supervisors responsible for project management, program coordination, portfolio intake, delivery governance, stakeholder communication, dependency management, and executive-level reporting • Establish portfolio governance routines and evaluate demand, capacity, strategic value, operational impact, risk, dependencies, and timing • Partner with leaders and business partners to define objectives, outcomes, success measures, resource needs, and decision points • Develop portfolio views, prioritization summaries, scorecards, status updates, and executive-ready materials • Identify portfolio risks, resource constraints, overlapping efforts, and dependency conflicts; recommend tradeoffs and escalation paths • Manage teams delivering low- to high-complexity projects and programs • Direct strategic initiatives with significant business complexity, organizational span, interdependencies, stakeholder visibility, and operational risk • Drive execution through planning, milestone tracking, decision documentation, issue resolution, dependency management, and stakeholder alignment • Assign projects based on experience, ability, capacity, and development goals; monitor progress and coach staff • Facilitate project, program, and portfolio steering committee meetings • Communicate status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and recommendations to leadership and business partners • Build cross-department relationships and improve project management and communication practices • Develop and improve templates, intake forms, delivery artifacts, reporting routines, dashboards, governance calendars, and escalation processes • Partner with Business Analysts, Data & Analytics, Operational Support, Technology Adoption, Training, and Process Redesign teams • Spearhead process improvements for the project and portfolio management team and broader Legal Operations function • Select, lead, counsel, develop, and motivate team members • Set performance expectations, coach project management techniques, and develop direct reports and project teams • Demonstrate thought leadership and foster a culture of ownership, clarity, collaboration, accountability, and business value realization

🎯 Requirements

• 7 or more years of experience in project management, program management, portfolio management, legal operations, business operations, technology delivery, or related disciplines • Leadership • Leading Project Teams • People Management • Process Improvements • Project Implementations • Project Management Leadership • Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) • Project Portfolio • Stakeholder Alignment • Stakeholder Communications • Team Development • Training • Successful completion of a background investigation • Generally, no employment-based visa sponsorship is provided • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home • Appropriate desk and seating when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
