📋 Description

• Upgrade existing flight software for new missions • Contribute to development of new satellite flight software for U.S. satellite platforms • Develop in-house tools to analyze flight software performance and assess compatibility with new missions and CONOPS • Develop and execute flight software tests at unit, module, subsystem, and platform levels • Work with manufacturing engineers to support installation on hardware-in-the-loop test environments and eventual flight hardware • Participate in anomaly resolution and patch existing flight software • Contribute to systems- and mission-level modeling and simulation tools • Develop payload software models for ground testing • Support development of satellite platform software models, ensuring accurate flight software representation • Support internal and customer/vendor working groups • Support proposal writing and new business • Assess software impacts of new hardware, CONOPS, and missions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related scientific areas required • Minimum of 15 years with a Bachelor's degree, or 12 years with a Master's degree • Proven track record working with space hardware and/or flight software systems across the product lifecycle • Proficiency in C/C++ • Expertise in one or more of: embedded software development, BSP development, device driver development and software/hardware interfaces, new board bring-up, RTOS programming/debugging/testing, cybersecurity for space systems, GNC algorithms, functional validation on HITL/SITL test beds, software safety assurance, network topology/configuration, simulators, software requirements and configuration management • US Citizenship is required • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance • Active DoD security clearance at Secret or above highly desirable • Periodic travel of less than 20% to U.S. facilities or partner companies • Occasional international travel to collaborate with European counterparts
