📋 Description

• Manage injection stretch blow mold samplings and qualification services for new, replacement and rebuilt tools • Optimize molding processes to meet dimensional limits at or below designed cycle time • Create and maintain standardized Master Process Sheets and Process of Adjustments • Attend new project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings • Train salary and hourly plant personnel in machine processing and tool design change recommendations • Provide manufacturing support for machine, process, tooling and design issues • Support equipment, process, capability studies and tooling qualifications/validations at plants and vendor locations • Establish and maintain data resources for packaging, machinery and processes • Facilitate, document and communicate best practices across manufacturing facilities • Conduct Design of Experiments and R&D process capability studies • Develop technical capabilities through technology-platform training, technical collaboration networks and mentoring • Maintain databases covering customer injection/blow mold tooling and production-system conditions • Create and maintain training programs for machine operation, process control and troubleshooting • Lead collaboration with corporate and plant quality teams, R&D, Innovation and Commercial teams • Recommend tooling and equipment upgrades or replacements based on engineering-study data • Participate with Plant Operations to reduce scrap and improve line efficiency • Create and maintain division-level technical specifications, standards and documentation • Communicate regularly with plants regarding project performance and issue resolution • Lead in-house training on injection/blow mold tooling maintenance, safety, operations, process control and maintenance • Assess plant technical teams and identify training or hands-on experience needed to close gaps • Act as technical liaison between Operations Engineering and customers to determine production-line system requirements • Identify and analyze alternate courses of action and develop new procedures when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers • Strong management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Minimum of five years’ processing experience in the plastics packaging industry desired • Experience with SPC is beneficial • Experience with Injection Stretch (one step) or Blow Mold machine functionality and troubleshooting • Knowledge of hydraulic circuitry and process control • Hands-on ability to operate injection or blow mold machine platforms • Mold and hot runner design experience and functionality testing, including multi-material systems • Knowledge of process fundamentals and optimization • Knowledge of Quality Assurance Systems • Knowledge of system interfaces and interactions for maximum performance • Customer service orientation and high degree of professionalism • Willingness and ability to travel 50% to 75% • Must be authorized to work in the United States
