📋 Description

• Support day-to-day activities necessary for the successful operation of the book sales and marketing department • Contribute to how books are optimally sold and marketed • Establish a deep understanding of book content, both front and backlist • Assist with execution of sales and marketing plans • Support tactical aspects of sales and marketing strategies and objectives • Prepare and distribute internal news alerts • Arrange distribution of review copies • Design and upload Amazon A+ content • Create author flyers and other collateral • Help with webinars and other presentations • Deliver, review, and extract leads from author questionnaires • Research sales and marketing opportunities • Optimize metadata • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required related to sales, marketing, communications, writing, English, or branding • One year or more of experience in Sales and marketing or publishing is a plus • Relevant book publishing experience, which can include internships • Desire to learn the craft of book publishing marketing and sales • MS Office Suite • Writing and editing proficiency • Familiarity with Bookscan, Firebrand, Onix, Salesforce, and Canva is helpful • Ability to work in a highly collaborative workplace • Enthusiasm for books, publishing, and sales and marketing • Understanding of APA’s mission and how it relates to the publishing program • Qualified candidates must attach a resume and cover letter specifying salary expectations • Final candidates must successfully complete a background check
