📋 Description

• Support media relations, social media and digital communications teams in day-to-day operations • Supervise the Corporate Affairs material review process and system, including maintaining the training program • Distribute Amgen global press releases • Prepare media, social and digital monitoring and performance reports for key company news and campaigns • Manage contracts and relationships with external engagement vendors; assess and recommend new vendors and opportunities • Collaborate with Corporate Affairs teams and cross-functional teams • Lead integrated external engagement metrics and reporting across media, social and digital channels • Develop executive briefing materials and integrated external engagement plans • Manage the external engagement budget, purchase orders and invoices • Identify and assess emerging industry trends, earned media outlets, social platforms and digital communication technologies • Direct public relations, social media and digital agency partners • Maintain and update the media team’s journalist database and external engagement resources • Support media pitching and engagement, social media publishing and community management, and digital content coordination

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of public relations and/or communications and/or journalism experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of public relations and/or communications and/or journalism experience OR Associate’s degree and 8 years of public relations and/or communications and/or journalism experience OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of public relations and/or communications and/or journalism experience • Five plus years of experience in public relations, social media, digital communications and/or corporate communications • Close attention to detail, collaborative spirit and commitment to operational excellence • Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic teammate and self-starter; serious commitment to hard work and excellence • Biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical communications experience • Excellent consulting, writing, editing, presentation and communication skills • Working knowledge of healthcare media, social platforms and digital communications channels • Familiarity with media monitoring, social listening, digital publishing and analytics tools and platforms • Ability to interface professionally with corporate leaders and managers • Experience working at or managing public relations, social media or digital agency partners and vendor relationships • Ability to think quickly, analytically and creatively to accommodate a dynamic environment • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
