📋 Description

• Serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/scientific community • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with prominent experts and clinicians throughout the US • Network and partner with medical thought leaders, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, managed care decision makers, and pharmacy directors • Communicate scientific/medical information and commercial value of products to medical and internal/external audiences • Obtain, integrate, and communicate customer feedback • Pair customers’ unmet needs with available internal resources • Collaborate with functional areas to identify opportunities addressed through scientific, medical, and health economic information • Identify potential new speakers and train them on scientific content for sponsored external speaker programs • Participate in national and regional conferences, meetings, and scientific venues • Obtain competitive information, monitor clinical trends, and support relationships with key investigators and scientific research • Evaluate external clinical research collaboration opportunities • Facilitate external clinical investigator-initiated trials and company-sponsored trials • Monitor the competitive environment for therapeutic-area advances, treatment management, new therapies, and competitive products/features • Provide feedback to senior leadership on competitor initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree & 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Master’s degree & 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experience • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. preferred; other doctoral degrees considered • 2+ years in a medical science liaison role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company • Demonstrated ability, or potential, to excel in smaller entrepreneurial organizations • Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including strong networking ability • Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management, regional and national conferences/workshops, and company meetings • Ability to work up to 15-hour days due to travel when needed • Ability to learn new business applications across hardware tools such as PC and iPad • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Professional, proactive demeanor • Strong interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
