📋 Description

• Serve as liaison to customers by providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals • Implement marketing strategy and promote Amgen products as led by the District Manager • Provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge and communicate clinical and economic product benefits • Deliver branded sales messages and implement planned programs • Schedule and follow up with medical educational programs • Achieve or exceed territory sales targets • Service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving/triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts • Analyze sales activity effectiveness and territory performance • Develop territory plans with the District Manager • Build the Amgen brand throughout the sales cycle • Partner with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous learning • Monitor disease-state awareness, industry, regulatory, and competitive changes to deliver agreed results • Cover the San Antonio and Laredo territory with 50% travel, including overnights

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related OR High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related • Two or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry preferred • Product or sales experience in family practice/internal medicine and cardio-metabolic diseases and treatments preferred • Local market knowledge preferred • Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
