📋 Description

• Help shape Amgen’s long-term direction by leading initiatives informing important business decisions • Partner with senior leaders across the enterprise to evaluate opportunities and address complex business questions • Develop the annual strategy update for Amgen’s Board of Directors • Lead enterprise initiatives and develop recommendations and communications for senior leadership • Conduct market, competitive, portfolio, and financial analyses • Evaluate industry trends, competitive dynamics, emerging technologies, and external developments • Mentor and develop junior Corporate Strategy team members • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of healthcare business experience, or Master’s degree and 7 years, or Bachelor’s degree and 9 years • Advanced degree in Life Sciences preferred • MBA preferred • Experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or comparable biopharmaceutical or healthcare role • Strong understanding of the global biopharmaceutical industry, healthcare ecosystem, and competitive landscape • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills • Experience developing materials for senior leadership • Strong analytical and financial skills • Ability to synthesize complex information into practical business recommendations • Experience working across functions and building alignment without direct authority • Experience managing and developing high-performing team members • Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, integrity, and collaborative leadership style • Flexibility to support Pacific Time working hours during periods of high business activity • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
