📋 Description

• Prepare engineering analyses including preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis, and equipment selection • Manage engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring intended outcomes, site understanding, agreed costs and schedules, minimal disruption to plant activities, and good housekeeping • Develop and maintain mass and energy balances for processes • Perform engineering analyses of physical and chemical processes • Determine solutions to existing problems and ideas and lead implementation of solutions • Prepare Capital Investment Requests • Obtain and analyze bids from engineering firms, vendors, and contractors, ensuring accuracy within 10% • Negotiate and execute purchase and contract agreements • Provide full-cycle performance management support for suppliers and contractors, including objectives, progress monitoring, formal feedback and recognition, and project-direction communication • Conduct PHAs, MOCs, and PSSRs on managed projects • Work with site and corporate HSE departments to ensure all safety requirements are met • Report to the Capital Project Engineering Manager • Provide engineering support across Arclin’s global operations, with focus on Resin and Surfaces businesses

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering • Registered Professional Engineer preferred • 6–10 years of plant maintenance, engineering, or project engineering experience • Engineering experience in chemical processing with both batch reactors and continuous processes with integrated absorption towers • Experience running a department and managing project teams • Strong understanding of P&IDs and process and equipment drawings • Working knowledge of PLC and/or DeltaV troubleshooting • General familiarity with process plant operations and equipment • Experience using Aspen Plus preferred • Experience with AutoCAD • HAZOP and PHA facilitation • Ability to travel frequently, potentially more than 40% • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and PMC • Knowledge of process control systems
