📋 Description

• Set the technical direction and architecture roadmap for AI capabilities within Arctic Wolf Labs • Design scalable, production-grade systems unifying heterogeneous data sources with rule-based, probabilistic, and ML-based approaches • Define best practices for secure, observable, scalable AI systems in cloud-native environments • Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks for agentic orchestration, fine-tuning, and evaluation • Establish ML and data pipelines for training, deploying, and monitoring fine-tuned generative AI and machine learning models • Partner with product area principals and AI teams to define technical solutions • Collaborate with data science, engineering management, product, security operations analysts, security operations, and threat researchers • Translate between data science and production engineering disciplines • Influence product roadmaps by connecting technical capabilities to customer outcomes • Communicate technical strategy, progress, and trade-offs to technical, executive, and non-technical audiences • Represent Arctic Wolf Labs' AI capabilities externally at conferences, customer conversations, and recruiting • Write architecture decision records, design documents, and status communications • Unblock the team, debug production issues, review pull requests, and write code when needed • Mentor senior engineers and foster innovation, ownership, and engineering excellence • Lead by example in code quality, testing, observability, and operational hygiene • Instrument AI quality, measure outcomes, and improve feedback loops with operations teams

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years building intelligent systems, distributed platforms, or AI-enhanced applications • 5+ years leading technical direction and mentoring senior contributors • Demonstrated ability to architect systems that support ML, data science, generative AI, and agentic workloads • Production experience with generative AI systems at scale, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, evaluation, and guardrails • Experience with agentic frameworks and LLM integration patterns, such as AgentCore, Amazon Bedrock, LangGraph, or equivalent • Track record of partnering with data science, product, and operations teams to deliver customer-facing outcomes • Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences • Hands-on coding ability • Experience with cloud-native data services, AWS preferred, and infrastructure-as-code / CI/CD practices • Exposure to cybersecurity concepts including threat detection, alert triage, risk modelling, exposure management, MITRE ATT&CK, and telemetry • Familiarity with Spark, Flink, Kafka, and Databricks • Experience with ML quality measurement and evaluation frameworks, including LLM-as-judge and human-in-the-loop evaluation • DevSecOps and security-first development mindset • Background checks required • Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws and regulations, if applicable • Candidates interviewing remotely are expected to be on camera during all video interviews
