📋 Description

• Support the execution, planning, and economics of Ascend's transactions • Manage day-to-day operations of securitizations and other funding facilities • Control portfolio reporting, run diagnostics, and perform data cleansing • Develop fluency in waterfall models, data sets, and funding protocols • Build relationships with Finance, Legal, and Capital Markets partners • Execute funding protocols and procedures accurately and on schedule • Support the design, development, and execution of securitization, warehouse, and corporate funding facilities • Participate in interest rate risk management initiatives, portfolio analysis, and forecasting • Drive proactive portfolio insights for underwriting, operations, and collections leadership • Refine scalable portfolio management practices and modeling approaches

🎯 Requirements

• A four-year college degree, with majors in engineering, math, finance, physics, or economics preferred • Proficiency with structured finance/credit analytics platforms and programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python, SQL) preferred • Experience in financial cash flow modeling for securitization transactions in Excel • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access) • Exposure to legal documents such as offering memorandums, offering circulars, indentures, and private placement memorandums is a plus • Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment to meet client deadlines • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail • Strong written and oral communication skills • Some relevant working experience in mortgage and asset-backed securities, accounting firms, corporate trust, mortgage banking, loan servicing, fixed income investments, or rating agencies is a plus
