📋 Description

• Review and abstract clinical information from patient records • Assign accurate ICD, CPT, or HCPCS codes for document retrieval and claim processing • Query physicians when documentation is ambiguous • Ensure records are clear, compliant, and reflective of care provided • Meet productivity and quality benchmarks • Maintain knowledge of AHIMA coding guidelines, reimbursement requirements, and DRG/APC assignment

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required • Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable • AAPC or AHIMA certified coder preferred • 2+ years experience preferred • No CPC-As
