📋 Description

• Review clinical documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for services rendered • Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements • Identify coding trends that may affect revenue or compliance • Perform coding audits • Query providers when documentation is unclear or insufficient • Monitor denial reports or queues for denied or rejected claims • Analyze denial trends and research root causes, including coding errors, missing documentation, and payer-specific issues • Submit timely, well-documented appeals or corrections to payers • Maintain accurate records of denial outcomes and appeal statuses • Support Spero Health’s integrated care mission for patients receiving counseling, case management, and medically assisted treatment

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • 2 years minimum coding experience • Foundational understanding of coding principles • CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding • Ability to review medical documentation and apply appropriate codes • Ability to identify, track, and appeal claim denials • Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare environment
