The organization supports owner-operators and independent tutors with SAT/ACT trainer-of-trainers programs, standards-based tutor training, a tutoring knowledge base, continuing education workshops, business development support, a code of professional ethics, a directory and staffing/job postings, and an Associate Tutor program for new tutors. Its mission is to help local education entrepreneurs and tutors grow their businesses and improve instructional quality through community, training, and approved-provider endorsement.

📋 Description

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction and test preparation for ACT students • Develop customized lesson plans and practice tests tailored to each student's needs • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents • Utilize effective teaching methods to build students' confidence and test-taking skills • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with all client interactions • Provide remote 1:1 tutoring for the ACT admissions test

🎯 Requirements

• Proven success with high scores on either/both SAT or/and ACT • 5-20 hours per week of availability • A minimum of 3 years of experience tutoring or teaching the full ACT test in a paid capacity • Strong understanding of ACT format, content, and test-taking strategies • Earned Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • A passion for education and commitment to student achievement • Flexible availability to meet the needs of students • Resume must highlight familiarity with the ACT and include all past tutoring experience in a paid capacity
