📋 Description

• Serve as the local medical voice of AstraZeneca in the relevant disease area • Build a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in the territory • Provide medical and scientific support for oncology marketed products, new indications and compounds in development • Act as local medical leader developing a tailored strategy aligned with AZ USMA priorities, local specificities and patient needs • Develop working relationships with academia, hospitals, managed markets and private practices • Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists, urologists and key members of the MDT • Lead peer-to-peer scientific/medical interactions • Gather insights on the treatment landscape, healthcare environment, treatment barriers and opportunities to improve cancer patient outcomes • Communicate insights and findings internally and propose actions to improve patient care and outcomes • Discuss data and educational gaps with KOLs to inform medicine use and R&D strategy • Summarize clinical data into accurate, balanced information and convey relevant information clearly • Stay current with scientific knowledge, products, competitors, healthcare trends, disease states and therapeutic interventions • Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences • Collaborate with Clin Ops on Phase 3 trials from feasibility through execution • Discuss and follow up on ESRs

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline • 2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience • Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context with multiple audiences • Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and small group dialogues • Ability to work independently and in groups • Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment • Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols • Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment • Excellent project management ability • Ability to travel (40-60% by car and plane domestic) • Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline
