📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment • Design and analyze safety and non-safety-related electrical systems for nuclear and commercial projects • Interface with mechanical, nuclear, operations, and electrical engineering teams • Apply engineering principles, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes, and standards to ensure compliant designs • Perform engineering calculations, including lighting, voltage drop, conductor sizing, and panel heat generation calculations • Generate and work with wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, loop diagrams, control architectural drawings and specifications, electrical and instrumentation specifications, data sheets, and control philosophy documents • Assist with design documents and plant modifications, coordinating with designers • Assist with engineering analysis, activities, and programs to identify and resolve routine equipment and system problems • Apply design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures, codes, and site design, safety, and licensing bases • Work in multidisciplinary project teams and ensure cross-discipline design integration • Mentor and conduct quality reviews of junior colleagues when needed • Check design media for accuracy according to company policies, procedures, and client expectations • Work to assigned schedules and initiate corrective measures to overcome delays • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify designs, reduce costs, correct flaws, or comply with changing requirements • Support installation and testing of site systems and components • Complete duties under the guidance of senior engineers and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical or engineering field • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience • Experience in nuclear industry preferred • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Conceptual knowledge of CE&I Systems design software and Microsoft Office • Ability to complete complex technical work with limited supervision • Higher-level knowledge and application of fundamental principles and concepts related to electrical design • Experience contributing to Electrical system design, including examples such as on-site distribution (AC and DC), off-site interfaces (switchyard), grounding and lighting protection, plant lighting systems, battery system design, communications systems, or diesel generators • Growing familiarity with nuclear regulatory guidance, such as NUREG-0800 Chapter 8 • Experience applying relevant codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, and EPRI • Demonstrated ability to perform electrical system design and analysis • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered
