📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment • Design and analyze safety- and non-safety-related electrical systems for nuclear and commercial projects • Interface with mechanical, nuclear, operations, and electrical engineering teams • Apply engineering principles, industry best practices, regulatory guidance, codes, and standards to ensure compliant designs • Perform engineering calculations for lighting, voltage drop, conductor sizing, and panel heat generation • Generate and interpret wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, loop diagrams, control architectural drawings and specifications, electrical and instrumentation specifications, data sheets, and control philosophy documents • Assist with design documents and plant modifications, coordinating with designers • Support engineering analysis, activities, and programs to identify and resolve routine equipment and system problems • Apply site design, safety, and licensing-basis criteria in design media • Work on multidisciplinary, project-based teams and integrate designs across disciplines • Mentor and conduct quality reviews of junior colleagues when needed • Check design media for accuracy and compliance with company policies and client expectations • Work to assigned schedules and initiate corrective measures to overcome delays • Recommend equipment, concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify design, reduce costs, correct design flaws, or comply with changing requirements • Support installation and testing of site systems and components • Complete assigned duties under guidance from senior engineers • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical or engineering field • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience • Experience in nuclear industry preferred • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Conceptual knowledge of CE&I Systems design software and Microsoft Office • Ability to complete complex technical work with limited supervision • Higher-level knowledge and application of fundamental principles and concepts related to electrical design • Experience contributing to electrical system design, including on-site distribution, off-site interfaces, grounding and lighting protection, plant lighting systems, battery system design, communications systems, or diesel generators • Growing familiarity with nuclear regulatory guidance, such as NUREG-0800 Chapter 8 • Experience applying relevant codes and standards, including IEEE, IEC, and EPRI • Demonstrated ability to perform electrical system design and analysis • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered
