• Lead development of the annual 5-Year Capital Plan across 75 hotels • Run the capital review and approval process, prioritizing projects by ROI, risk, brand compliance, and asset need • Oversee capital expenditures for renovations and major and ordinary capital projects • Hold project teams accountable to budgets, schedules, and quality standards • Maintain design and construction standards meeting brand requirements and ownership objectives • Lead facilities and engineering across all 75 hotels, including preventive maintenance, repairs and maintenance, life safety, and building systems • Set engineering standards, staffing models, and performance measures • Coach property engineering teams • Maintain physical plant assessments and incorporate equipment life-cycle needs into the capital plan • Manage repairs and maintenance spend and benchmark hotel performance • Negotiate and manage enterprise service contracts and warranties • Provide executive oversight of Atrium’s energy program and third-party energy consultant • Set energy strategy and objectives, review procurement recommendations, and ensure accountability for results and cost • Drive energy and water efficiency through building automation, upgrades, and operating practices • Monitor utility cost and usage and address outlier hotels • Capture available utility rebates and incentives • Serve on the Executive Team and contribute to company-wide strategy and decision-making • Report to the CEO and ownership on capital projects, engineering spend, energy performance, forecasts, and cash requirements • Build, lead, and develop capital, facilities, and engineering teams • Maintain communication among corporate, hotel teams, brand partners, and vendors
• 15+ years of hotel industry experience • Senior leadership of capital projects and facilities or engineering operations across a multi-property portfolio • Track record of managing $100M+ in annual spend with measurable results • Experience overseeing energy management programs • Experience holding outside consultants or vendors accountable for performance • Strong working knowledge of brand standards and PIP requirements for Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and other major brand families • Strong financial acumen, including connecting spending decisions to ROI, asset value, and owner returns • Clear, concise communication style with the CEO, ownership, and hotel teams • Proven ability to build, coach, and inspire high-performing teams • Strong knowledge of National Hotel Brands product positioning requirements and future brand standard strategies related to design and technology improvements • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
