📋 Description

• Help qualify and close opportunities with customers • Provide technical expertise through technical evaluations, sales presentations, and product demonstrations • Own the technical win in deals by demonstrating that AuthZed meets prospect requirements • Collaborate daily with Account Executives in a pre-sales role • Understand and document customer technical requirements, performance SLOs, consistency requirements, and software architecture • Build live permissions schema design sessions and tailored solutions leveraging AuthZed products • Design Proofs of Concept to validate solutions with prospects • Lead virtual and in-person demos and deep-dive technical sessions • Identify product gaps and communicate them to the product team • Create, improve, and maintain dynamic customer demos • Troubleshoot technical issues to ensure customer success

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in a solutions engineering role or similar technical position, preferably in a customer-facing capacity • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a relevant field; directly related work experience will also be considered in lieu of formal education • Working proficiency in a modern backend language (Go, Python, Java, or Node preferred) • Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) • Proficient in designing and deploying solutions in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managing Kubernetes clusters • Experience integrating against APIs, including handling streams and pagination • Strong abilities to diagnose and solve complex technical issues and communicate technical and business requirements to diverse audiences • Proven track record of conducting training sessions, demos, and presentations to stakeholders of various technical levels • Comfortable with ambiguous and changing requirements, with a rapid ability to learn new technical concepts • Experience working with and contributing to open-source software projects • Experience building and maintaining authorization for an app • Experience integrating against gRPC APIs • Experience with graph databases • Understanding of distributed systems concepts, including CDC, message queues, 2PC, and workflow engines such as Temporal • Hands-on experience building agents or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems • Experience with CRM systems • Legally able to work in the United States • Able to travel 3 to 4 days per month, mostly domestic travel to customer sites or internal team offsites
