• Provide responsive, professional field support to existing customers and prospects • Perform plant surveys, system evaluations, troubleshooting, and pretreatment assessments • Collect water, membrane, deposit, and other samples for laboratory analysis • Assist with membrane removal/offloading for autopsies when required • Perform and support membrane system cleanings, chemical changeovers, commissioning, start-ups, and system optimization • Commission, operate, monitor, clean, and maintain AWC pilot systems at customer sites • Monitor membrane system performance and operating data and communicate findings and recommendations to Applications and Technical Sales • Provide technical guidance on membrane system operation, chemical programs, cleaning, and maintenance • Build and maintain relationships with plant operators and customer personnel • Follow up on field visits and recommendations • Identify and communicate customer needs, system concerns, and opportunities for additional technical services or chemical solutions • Prepare for field visits and ensure documentation, tools, equipment, chemicals, and materials are ready • Complete and distribute field service reports, recommendations, and customer sign-off documentation • Coordinate with Technical Sales, Applications, Inside Sales, and Field Services • Perform field activities according to AWC procedures, safety requirements, and company standards • Represent AWC professionally at customer and prospect sites • Participate in company training • Perform other duties as assigned
• Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited university or college, or technical certification from an accredited program, or 5+ years of experience in water treatment/wastewater • Strong understanding of membrane technology and water treatment processes, including pretreatment, MF/UF, and NF/RO systems • Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, commissioning, servicing, and optimizing membrane treatment systems • Working knowledge of pumps, valves, instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems associated with water treatment equipment • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve field issues • Understanding of membrane fouling, scaling, pretreatment, and chemical cleaning • Hands-on experience performing NF/RO Clean-in-Place procedures; MF/UF CIP experience preferred • Ability to interpret operating data and system performance • Experience using, maintaining, and calibrating field testing equipment and instrumentation • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare technical reports • Professional, customer-focused, and able to build effective relationships • Organized, resourceful, and able to work independently while adapting to changing field conditions and travel schedules • Valid driver's license and ability and willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel • Moderate to extensive overnight travel within the territory (40–60%) and occasional travel across multiple states • Ability to stand, walk, and work on feet for extended periods, up to 8+ hours per day • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing ladders or stairs • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or outdoors in various weather conditions • Ability to wear and work in required PPE • Ability to safely handle and work around cleaning, sampling, and maintenance chemicals • Visual and auditory ability to detect hazards, read instruments and gauges, and communicate effectively on-site • Ability to travel frequently and work extended hours or weekends when required, including on short notice
