📋 Description

• Coordinate, communicate, and oversee directives from members’ senior management teams to AWG sales support team members • Work with AWG support teams to achieve member store group objectives • Coordinate store resets, remodels, upgrades, new store builds, and acquisitions • Support member advertising activity through in-house or outside advertising groups • Make regular planned store calls to support profitable sales growth and serve as liaison between customers and AWG • Interpret departmental financial and operating statements and advise members on operational strengths and weaknesses • Analyze and plan goals, objectives, and priorities for assigned members • Collaborate as a member of the AWG sales team • Analyze competitors’ merchandising strategies and advise on countermeasures • Use the Flawless Execution method for planning and communication; maintain accurate, timely records and keep management informed • Develop weekly advertisements with members, vendors, department managers, and buyers as assigned • Ensure assigned stores utilize warehouse programs • Support and coordinate food show activities • Monitor sales opportunities, out-buying, inventory control, and member quality control

🎯 Requirements

• Retail grocery store or grocery wholesale experience preferred • Degree not required; equivalent work experience in retail preferred • Minimum 5 years of related management experience in grocery retail or wholesale, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to read and speak fluent English • Ability to comprehend operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Ability to make effective presentations before small and large groups • Ability to read and interpret departmental financial and operating statements • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions • Valid driver's license • Strong communication and computer skills, with ability to use and learn new technology • Ability to read and comprehend AWG programs, policies, sanitation requirements, FDA, C.O.O.L. legislation, and other state and federal requirements • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 70 pounds • Ability to perform required driving, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling
