📋 Description

• Review, draft, and negotiate grant agreements, funding agreements, and other commercial contracts. • Review and approve grant proposals to ensure compliance with organizational policies, funding requirements, and applicable regulations. • Provide legal guidance throughout the grant lifecycle, from proposal development through execution and ongoing administration. • Partner with program teams, finance, development, compliance, and leadership to support grant-funded initiatives. • Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks while providing practical, business-oriented solutions. • Ensure contracts and grant documentation comply with federal, state, foundation, and private funding requirements. • Assist with developing and improving contracting processes, templates, and internal policies.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial contracts experience, preferably supporting nonprofit organizations. • Demonstrated experience reviewing and approving grant proposals and grant agreements. • Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements. • Knowledge of nonprofit operations and grant funding processes. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to balance legal risk with practical business and mission-focused objectives. • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar admission preferred.
