📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership for enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms supporting critical IT, business, and clinical operations • Lead the design, implementation, modernization, and operational oversight of cloud, data center, compute, storage, virtualization, operating system, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, network, observability, automation, and operational support services • Define cloud strategy, target state, governance, optimization, and internal cloud platform product direction • Own the cloud operating model, including service catalog, escalation model, SLAs/SLOs, and scalable governance • Create cloud roadmaps and investment plans covering capabilities, deprecations, technical debt reduction, and modernization milestones • Establish architecture patterns, reference designs, approved services, security controls, threat modeling, vulnerability management, compliance evidence, and identity/access standards • Ensure digital engineering, integration enablement, system implementations, upgrades, data exchange, and interoperability • Lead application rewrite initiatives for data-center-to-cloud migration and application modernization • Implement operational controls for account/subscription structure, network segmentation, secrets management, access reviews, and backup/disaster-recovery posture • Drive incident-management maturity, runbooks, on-call health, post-incident learning, SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, capacity planning, and resilience testing • Lead, hire, coach, manage performance, and plan succession for cloud architects, platform engineers, SREs, cloud security engineers, and digital engineers • Build a culture of automation, blameless postmortems, documentation discipline, learning, and internal platform product thinking

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles managing engineering teams • 5+ years of experience leading microservices cloud architecture, design and implementation at scale • Minimum of 3 years of Kubernetes deployed workload on cloud platform • Experience with AI development tools • Proven experience with platform operating models and product-driven delivery approaches • Hands-on experience designing and scaling public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure • Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives • Healthcare industry experience preferred • Professional level certifications on public cloud platforms preferred • Deep knowledge of at least one cloud provider between Google, AWS and Azure and working knowledge of other clouds • Experience with cloud cost optimization • Familiarity with listed coding/scripting languages, development frameworks, databases, CI/CD and version-control tools, container registries, deployment managers, container platforms, observability tools, security tools, and work-management platforms • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
