📋 Description

• Schedule patient appointments for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments • Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information • Register patients and enter data into the scheduling system • Work in a call center-type environment • Meet individual quality metrics • Provide professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians, and community members • Practice the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence

🎯 Requirements

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper. • Complete and pass the Patient Access training course • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations • Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology (desired) • Experience with computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Office and EMR applications • Accurate typing skills • Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure, including medical necessity compliance guidelines • Bilingual English, Spanish/Creole (preferred) • Less than 1 year of minimum required experience
