📋 Description

• Lead planning, execution, and continuous improvement of software engineering development • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant systems • Drive improved project and product delivery timelines, team productivity, defect reduction, and business outcomes • Set policies and drive adherence to standards, best practices, modern technologies, and tooling for cloud and edge/OT software systems • Lead change management and continuously monitor and reduce technical debt • Integrate security and privacy into development processes • Identify and manage resources across all stages of software development projects • Ensure technical, financial, quality, performance, scalability, and documentation targets are met • Manage team performance through objectives, structured feedback, coaching, and mentorship • Oversee resource planning, talent acquisition, recruitment, and people management for software engineering teams • Plan and manage onshore and offshore resourcing processes and continuous improvements • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships and act as the accountable stakeholder engagement contact • Translate stakeholder communications and engagement strategies into activities and deliverables • Capture and disseminate technical and business information • Identify and initiate organizational capability improvement activities • Lead change initiatives, including communication and implementation • Supervise multiple software development engineers, including direct reports • Travel to vendors, user and customer sites domestically, with occasional international travel

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, STEM or equivalent experience • 8–10+ years of working experience in the software engineering discipline • 5+ years of experience with Industrial IoT, distributed and/or event-driven systems • 5+ years of experience with major cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) • 2–3+ years of experience supervising, directing, leading, or managing direct reports • 1+ year of experience managing a distributed/remote and international team • Experience with sustainable agentic development practices and associated change management • Experience with modern containerization of applications and automated cloud deployment tooling and templates • Experience integrating open-source technologies in a commercial environment • Proven track record of delivering production-quality software in iterative environments • Experience with value-driven development, discovery-oriented practices, and hypothesis-based execution • Experience mentoring and developing engineers, including coaching for growth, performance, and autonomy • Experience supporting or building high-throughput teams using agentic development, CI/CD, trunk-based development, and automated testing • Experience collaborating in product-led environments with product, design, and business stakeholders • Experience creating or maintaining psychological safety, team accountability, autonomy, and continuous improvement • Experience with data management (SQL, NoSQL, Big Data), analytics, business intelligence and/or data science technologies • Familiarity with Portfolio and Project Management tools • Ability to correctly wear and use required PPE when visiting a manufacturing facility • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds
