📋 Description

• Lead delivery of scalable applications built with React/Next.js and Java/Node.js • Build high-quality user interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Next.js • Develop backend services in Java and Node.js using REST and SOAP • Deploy and support applications on WebSphere and container platforms • Break down requirements, estimate work, and drive end-to-end delivery • Collaborate with product, QA, operations, and engineering teams • Use monitoring and troubleshooting tools • Participate in architecture and design reviews • Mentor developers and conduct code reviews • Define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding • Design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems • Optimize application systems and procedures for capacity, operating time, response time, and desired results • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts • Develop and implement program/system test plans and data verification methods • Respond to system failures and performance events to reduce downtime and prevent recurrence • Research software and hardware products to support recommendations and budgeting/purchasing efforts • Act as an expert technical resource to development staff throughout development and implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required • 1 year of experience with information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards • 5 years of systems and programming experience • 1 year of expert working knowledge of at least one programming language in use at BCBST • Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST • Proven analysis, design, and coding skills • Demonstrated success leading large and complex projects • Top-level technical experience in one or more specialized areas of applications systems analysis and programming • Ability to interpret and translate technical and complex concepts for project team members and business personnel • Ability to manage multiple tasks • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical co-workers • Sponsorship isn’t available for this position
