📋 Description

• Oversee all accounting and payroll activities, including the month-end close process • Support invoicing and accounts payable activities • Serve as the in-house expert and point person on revenue recognition and operations • Develop, monitor, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for GAAP, internal policies, external audits, and regulations • Support financial performance monitoring and execution against forecasts • Support preparation of internal and external financial statements • Produce KPI reporting, identify root-cause trends, and prepare variance insights for key meetings • Work with People Operations and leadership on headcount planning and projections • Review quarterly and annual payroll tax returns • Ensure federal, state, and local payroll taxes are accurately calculated, remitted, and recorded • Create and maintain travel and business-expense policies and procedures • Review and approve all expenses • Streamline accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy • Report directly to the CEO

🎯 Requirements

• CPA • 3+ years of experience in public accounting • 7+ years of experience in Finance, ideally in a startup environment • A degree in finance, statistics, economics, business or other related fields • Interest in building infrastructure to sustain significant growth while maintaining tight financial controls • Ability to convey complex financial concepts to leaders across the organization • Desire to drive continuous process improvements • Outstanding Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets • Experience with QuickBooks
