📋 Description

• Serve as the outsourced controller for multiple clients • Act as the primary client contact with business owners, internal finance teams, and external audit/tax partners • Communicate clearly, manage expectations, and advise clients with confidence • Oversee accounting operations and ensure accuracy across the general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations • Prepare and review financial statements • Lead the monthly close and perform variance analysis • Lead Account Managers by delegating complex tasks, reviewing work, and coaching them • Train others in advanced accounting practices across client portfolios • Own process improvement and software integration • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new systems • Design workflows to integrate client-specific software • Enhance quality, efficiency, and scalability for clients and across the firm

🎯 Requirements

• US-based individual • Full-time availability, 40 hours a week, five days a week within standard professional hours • 7+ years of accounting and finance experience • Extensive multi-client cloud finance leadership experience • Experience leading month-end close processes • Experience implementing internal controls • Experience preparing audit-ready financials • High-level financial reporting and analysis expertise • Fluency in GAAP, lease accounting, and revenue recognition • Experience managing or coordinating bookkeeping, AP/AR, general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and revenue recognition • Experience working with auditors, tax teams, and compliance partners • Higher-education accounting degree • CPA firm or public accounting experience strongly preferred • Excellent communication skills across digital channels • Attention to detail and quality • Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills • Humility and openness to coaching • Proven delegation and coaching skills • Persistence and resilience • Strong, reliable home internet connection and an environment conducive to video and phone calls • Must not take on additional paid accounting tasks beyond the role with System Six • W2 employment basis • This position does not qualify for the CPA experience requirement involving substantial use of relevant CPA licensing skills
