📋 Description

• Lead a team of Global Category Managers to build and refresh strategic category strategies • Drive global supplier relationship management for strategic partners • Lead Business Operations Committee governance, QBS, and issue and performance management • Use spend data analytics, market intelligence, and benchmarking to identify value opportunities • Optimize vendor services and drive cost reduction and avoidance in alignment with Finance • Partner with senior stakeholders to coordinate structured decision-making across diverse teams • Set and execute negotiation strategies and playbooks for complex global MSAs, rate cards, rebates, and commercial terms • Ensure efficiency of procurement events through optimal use of buying channels • Implement tools and systems that drive successful execution while managing risks and stakeholder communication • Evaluate the vendor landscape and align preferred suppliers across Business Units, Therapeutic Areas, and the global environment • Report to the Head of Research, Development & Medical Services • Manage procurement strategies for approximately $600M in spend across clinical trial CRO management, clinical technologies, and medical affairs services

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required • 12+ years of related leadership experience • 6+ years of clinical or adjacent category management experience • At least 3 years in team management in a global environment • Proven leadership of high impact teams and ability to mentor and coach team members • Ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively with strong stakeholder management skills • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, global procurement initiatives and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously • Expertise in prioritizing, organizing, and multitasking in a dynamic environment • Proven value generation from both internal and external opportunities • Proficiency with digital procurement tools, advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled insights • Proficiency in sophisticated negotiations across varied commercial models and deal structures, including CROs, Clinical Technologies, and Medical Affairs • Proven success shaping global category strategies in a complex, matrixed, highly regulated environment • Executive presence and ability to develop effective relationships that influence senior stakeholders and decision making • Exceptional communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas clearly and motivate others • Strong project management skills • Global leadership and operational excellence experience
