• Engage with Key Medical Experts and healthcare professionals to increase confidence in clinical decisions related to disease states and Biogen products • Build deep, strategic, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Serve as a responsive, solutions-driven conduit to leaders in the medical community • Engage in projects and initiatives aligned to US Medical strategy, objectives, and tactics • Deliver against qualitative and quantitative medical excellence performance goals, standards, and measurements • Execute Key Medical Expert engagement plans in collaboration with field and non-field colleagues • Capture and report KME/HCP medical insights using Veeva • Cover Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina
• Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree required • Doctoral-level degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP) strongly preferred • Field Medical Science Liaison experience required • Must reside within the territory: Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina • Effective communication skills • Comfortable using and learning new technology, tools, and systems • Able to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel • Must be 18 years of age or older • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental • Clinical experience and subject matter expertise in Rare Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Friedreich Ataxia, and/or Spinal Muscular Atrophy preferred • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
