• Coordinate with the Senior State Organizing Manager and field team to plan, implement, and execute statewide strategy for Mississippi. • Identify and develop 1–2 potential new partners for each county in Mississippi’s 2nd Congressional District. • Aid with regranting to community partner groups. • Review and approve grants and ensure the state budget is adhered to and managed according to BVM policy. • Plan BVM bus tours and/or special events in the assigned state, counties, and region. • Provide weekly virtual and written updates to the National Field Co-Director. • Execute GOTV strategy and programmatic work within the assigned geography. • Train partners and staff to execute programmatic work and co-create and execute GOTV mobilization, protection, and defense campaigns. • Provide weekly goals and accountability mechanisms for the Regional Organizer and host a weekly GOTV check-in call for the 2026 election cycle. • Coordinate communications with BVM partner organizations, statewide coalition partners, and staff. • Coordinate social media content related to statewide BVM and partner activities. • Liaise with State Table leadership and attend statewide and coalition calls. • Assume supervisory responsibility for the team in the absence of the Senior State Manager, ensuring seamless operations, staff accountability, and program effectiveness.
• At least 5 years of experience in organizing and campaigning, issue advocacy, and/or political campaigns • Experience managing campaigns and/or projects; experience in multiple counties preferred • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly • Commitment to progressive causes • Community organizing experience is a plus • Strong writing and verbal communication skills • Close attention to detail • Must reside in Jackson, Mississippi • Must have own vehicle and a valid driver’s license • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time; travel may be 20–30% in-state and nationally • Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends
